NDPCANDIDATE

Another election season is upon us, and elections are what Sudbury Politics host love best! As we slowly get word of both federal and provincial candidates being acclaimed, 2 nomination contests are currently underway. The NDP have vetted their candidates the trase is on the way. The Liberals have now closed their call for nominations, with 3 as of yet unnamed candidates being vetted and a contest period likely to be announced very soon.

The Liberal Party of Canada recently declared ‘electoral urgency’ for nominations in advanced of what is expected to be an early fall election call.

With these competitions underway, Co-hosts Jeff MacIntyre and Danielle Derochie – who we are excited to welcome back to the Show – will be hosting the first of our nomination candidate forums on Facebook Live, June 15 at 7pm:

Two candidates are vying for the opportunity to contest Sudbury’s open seat: Beth Mairs, former Federal NDP candidate, executive director of Indie Cinema and Consultant, and Nadia Verrelli, Canadian politics professor and expert in domestic violence policy.
